Overview of the DRC Ordinary Flying Visa

The Ordinary Flying Visa is the standard entry visa for the Democratic Republic of Congo. It is open to travellers visiting for different reasons and does not restrict entry to a single purpose.

Purposes Covered Under the Ordinary Flying Visa

a. Tourism

The Ordinary Flying Visa is valid for leisure travel to the DRC. Visitors may explore national parks, cultural sites, and other attractions across the country, including Virunga National Park, Mount Nyiragongo, Kahuzi-Biega National Park, and the capital city, Kinshasa.

b. Business

The visa covers attendance at meetings, conferences, trade discussions, and short-term commercial activities in the DRC. It does not permit employment or long-term work within the country.

c. Transit

Travellers passing through the DRC en route to another destination can apply under this visa. 

d. Family Visit 

Those travelling to the DRC to meet family or maintain personal connections may apply under this same visa. No separate category exists for family visits - the Ordinary Flying Visa covers this purpose as well.
