What is the DRC eVisa?

Travellers from Bahrain visiting the Democratic Republic of the Congo for a short stay may apply for an eVisa, which is issued online prior to travel. Approved uses include, but are not limited to, tourism, business meetings or conferences, family visits, and medical visits.

Can I enter the DRC with just the eVisa?
 No. You must pay the VAP fee at the border to officially confirm your stay.

Can I convert this eVisa into a work visa later?
You must apply for a different visa type if you plan to work.

No. All documents must be in English.

Can I upgrade my processing after submitting the application?

DRC Border Fee (VAP)

This is a mandatory entry requirement for the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The eVisa is only your travel pre-approval.
The VAP officially allows your entry and confirms your stay.
The VAP fee is separate and is paid on arrival.

Can I pay the VAP online?
No. The VAP must be paid at the airport, seaport, or land border upon arrival. 

Can I extend my stay at the airport?
No, extensions are handled only at immigration offices.
