Which documents are needed to apply for a DRC eVisa?

The following documents are required for applicants from Ethiopia applying for a DRC eVisa:

  • Passport Bio-page: 6 months valid from the date of travel
  • Passport-size photo: Clear and recent with a clean white background
  • Application Letter: Address the letter to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, clearly stating the purpose of travel and relevant trip details.

What are the application steps for the DRC eVisa?

As a citizen of Ethiopia, you should apply for the DRC eVisa well in advance to avoid processing delays.

Provide your passport number, travel dates, and personal information correctly, then upload the required documents

Pay the processing fee using your credit/debit card and submit the eVisa application form

Step 3

Once the processing is completed within a few days, the approved DRC eVisa will be shared via email

Note: When completing the form, applicants may use the "Add Applicant" option to include multiple travellers in one submission. All applications are processed together, and updates are sent to the primary applicant, but each traveller will receive a separate eVisa.

  • After applying for your DRC eVisa, you can check the status on the DRC eVisa Status webpage, and regular status updates are also shared to your registered email address.
  • The passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the planned travel date.
  • The passport should have at least 2 pages for visa stamps.
  • Extensions are issued by EMG/DGM (Immigration) and are subject to fees determined by the visa type and the period of stay.
