Important Rules for the Airport eVisa

Before booking your flights to the DRC, keep these three vital rules in mind regarding the electronic permit:

  • Arrival Deadline: You have a 90-day window to enter the country once your document is approved.
  • Duration: This specific online permit grants a stay of no more than 7 days.
  • Staying Longer: You cannot renew this permit online. If your trip lasts more than a week, you must visit the local immigration office (DGM) immediately after landing to register for a longer stay.

Items Needed for Your Application

Valid Passport: A scan of your Nicaraguan passport photo page. It must be valid for 6 months after your arrival date.
Recent Photo: A clear, colour digital portrait with a plain white background.
Travel Letter: A simple note outlining your flight dates, where you are staying, and why you are visiting.
Work Details: Only for business travellers. You will need a formal invitation or a letter from your company for the Congolese authorities.

Timing and Service Fees

The total price of your visa consists of an online service fee and a separate entry tax paid at the airport. You can select one of 3 processing speeds based on how quickly you need your documents:

  • Standard: 11 - 13 Working Days
  • Rush: 8 - 11 Working Days
  • Super Rush: 5 - 8 Working Days
